Vinegrowers for centuries in the villages of Quintaine and Clessé, our family has always respected terroir and traditional methods.

A new AOC has been created, the INAO, at the request of the majority of winegrowers has decided to reserve the appellation for one type of wine.

This is completely adapted to the majority of today's production, but absolutely not to our tradition of producing wines from very ripe grapes, harvested when bordering on overripeness.

Out of respect for the terroir, family tradition and in order to continue to produce wines which you are familiar with, we prefer, starting with the 1999 vintage, to adopt the A.O.C. Mâcon-Village, without specifying the name of the commune as it is no longer possible.

For your wine list, you may continue to classify our wines as Burgundian indicating:

Domaine de la BONGRAN, Quintaine-Thévenet, name of the cuvée, Mâcon Villages, Millésime.

Domaine Emilian. GILLET Quintaine-Thévenet, Mâcon Villages, Millésime.

We are at your disposition for a more detailed explication.

Jean Thévenet.
